Air India Announces Direct Ahmedabad-London Flight From December 15

 On Saturday National carrier Air India said it will connect London with a direct flight from Ahmedabad from December 15, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that there will be a direct flight between the two cities.  Air India already operates four frequencies to London - three from Delhi and one from Mumbai. The daily flight will be a boon to the 1.5 million-strong Indian diaspora living in Britain, catering to the strong demand of more than six lakh Indians from Gujarat, Air India said in a statement.  "From December 15, there will be direct flights between London and Ahmedabad," Modi had said in his address to 60,000 wildly cheering British Indians at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London on Friday. The flight will operate with a B-787 Dreamliner aircraft, on the route Ahmedabad-Mumbai-London-Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Air India said, adding the passengers travelling by the direct flight will not need to change aircraft at Mumbai. According to the airline, flight AI-131 will take off from Ahmedabad at 0430 hours to arrive in Mumbai at 0545 hours from where it will take off at 0705 hours and land at London at 1130 hours.  On the return leg, flight AI-130 will leave London at 1330 hours, arrive at Mumbai at 0400 hours next day from where it will take off at 0530 hours and land at Ahmedabad at 0645 hours, Air India said.

                                                               

Air India annonce des vols directs entre Ahmedabad et Londres à partir du 15 décembre

La compagnie nationale Air India a annoncé samedi que Londres sera connecté à Ahmedabad avec un vol direct à partir du 15 décembre, un jour après que le Premier ministre Narendra Modi avait indiqué qu'il y aurait un vol direct entre les deux villes. Air India exploite déjà quatre vols réguliers à partir de Londres - trois à destination de Delhi et un de Mumbai. Le vol quotidien sera une aubaine pour les 1,5 million membres de la diaspora indienne vivant en Grande-Bretagne, de la restauration à la forte demande de plus de six mille Indiens du Gujarat, a déclaré Air India dans un communiqué. "A partir du 15 décembre, il y aura des vols directs entre Londres et Ahmedabad," a annoncé M. Modi lors de son discours prononcé devant 60.000 Indiens britanniques enthousiastes au stade emblématique de Wembley à Londres vendredi.  Le vol sera exploité avec un avion B-787 Dreamliner, pour le trajet Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Londres-Mumbai-Ahmedabad, a déclaré Air India en ajoutant que, les passagers voyageant par vol direct n’auront pas besoin de changer d'avion à Mumbai. Selon la compagnie aérienne, le vol AI-131 décollera de Ahmedabad à 4h30  pour arriver à Mumbai 5h45, redécoller à 7h05 et atterrir à Londres à 11h30.  Sur le trajet de retour, le vol AI-130 quittera Londres à 13h30, pour faire escale à Bombay à 4h00 le lendemain et redécoller à 5h30 pour atterrir à Ahmedabad à 6h45, a déclaré Air India.
