Last Thursday in the western India, in Palghar a mob killed two Hindu godmen and their driver. According to the police report, the victims were driving to a funeral when the crowd stop their car and put them out.
People would be suspecting them to be child abductors. Those rumours have already driven attacks in this country. Police didn’t can rescue the men but they arrested 100 suspects among the crowd.
A video of the incident went viral on Sunday. It shows people were lynching the victims while Police was trying to save them. On social media, attack was used to stoke religious tensions.
Prime Minister guaranteed strict actions against the culprit. It soon created political reactions in the opposition ( theformer prime minister and other) criticizing the government ability to maintain order under the lock down. India set it up the 25 March as a reaction to the corona virus crisis. Home minister respond this was a communal incident. But anyway is good to discredit the power in those periods of troubles.
Bain de foule sanglant en Inde
Jeudi dernier dans l’ouest de l’Inde, à Palghar une foule a tué deux religieux Hindou et leur chauffeur. Selon le rapport de police, ils se conduisaient vers des funérailles quand la foule les a arrêtés et mits dehors.Ils les auraient suspectés d’être des ravisseurs d’enfants. Ce genre de rumeurs ont déjà conduit à des attaques par le passé en Inde. La police n’a pas pu les sauver mais a arrêter plus de 100 suspects.
Une video de l’incident est devenu virale dimanche. On voit que les gens étaient en train de lyncher les victime alors que la police essayait de les sauver. Sur les réseaux sociaux on s’en ai serviy pour créer des tensions religieuses.
Le premier ministre a garanti des reprimandes strictes contre les coupables, les opposants en on profiter pour critiquer l’abiliter du gouvernement à maintenir l’ordre pendant le confinement débuté le 25 mars. Le ministre de l’interieur a repondu que cet incident était commun.
